HELP!

Talk about a busy week! It seems like the more I get done, the more work that their is to do. Here is a quick overview of a regular day in my life. Wake up at 6:00 A.M. Class 7:30-10:30, Finish up homework for next class, class from 12-1:20 do homework because every other day of the week you work so this is my only chance! Take a 1 hour break, then back to class at 7:00-9:30. go home...pass out...and wait for the next day where I face physics and 7 hours of working with children with no break. It is a busy life but I know I am so lucky to have a good job that works with my schedule, pays alright, and does not make me work weekends. I am lucky for the opportunity to go to school, even though I generally feel stupid (It makes my smart moments more meaningful). Plus being busy is so much better then not having anything to do. Although some days all that I really want to do is wake up late, lay on the couch and not move allll day long! That would be wonderful right about now...

really...REALLY!?

The fallowing is based on a Ashley real life experience

Dear Boys,
If you are every out on a date with a girl and the thought goes through you head that says "She is not paying enough attention to me, I think I will Wack her in the forehead!" I would strongly suggest forgoing that thought. It is a very stupid one, and you will probably not get another chance. However, if you decide to go through with it and do it anyway...she probably will not be pleased. So when she says "What the heck are you doing?" you should probably have a better response then "Are you on your period?" because once again that is not a smart thing to say. Although, if you do say that chances are she will be cold to you for the rest of the night. So when you text her later that night and say that you have had a good time...be prepared to not get a response. You're done.

Sad News

I work at Kindercare Learning Corp. I have been really lucky to be able to work there. Although it is really hard, frustrating, and some days I literally leave in tears because the 4 year olds are so mean...it's a good job. I have been really lucky up to this point to have the boss that I have. We get along really well, and me and her two kids are really tight. On saturdays I would take them to the park, chucky cheese, or other fun things like that why my boss worked. Well, On monday Sabrina pulled me out of the class I was teaching in and told me that she was leaving. I am not please! I am going to miss her so much as my boss! But I am devistated that Tyrel and Woodrow are leaving! I am going to miss them so much. One of my favorite Tyrel moments was when we were at Mcdonalds and he was playing on the slide, I was on the other side of the play thing getting Woodrow and I heard Tyrel scream across the play place so everyone can hear, "Miss Ashley!!! I hurt my butt on the slide!!!!!!" it was pretty funny everone just stared. They also helped me pick up the fella's...This summer I was with them at Chucky-Cheese and I was watching them play on a play place. A guy that was like 33 came up to me and started talk to me. His name was Pete, he was a garbage man who just went through drug rehab. He was a single dad and best of all he wanted my number...Thank you Tyrel and Woodrow for attracting the good guys for me (Note the Sarcasm)! Anyway I am really sad and am going to miss them very much!

Obama Scares Me...

On Sunday, as everybody knows, the health care bill was passed. This really freaks me out because of how it happened. I really do not like Obama. Everything that I beleive in he is against. Everything that he is for, makes me want to vomit. However, today my Dad sent me a really good quote that I really liked. I hope you enjoy!

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.” -- Author Unknown

Roomies!

My roommate Grace just got back from chicago and me and Janet have been missing her greatly! Tonight we all went out to dinner to celebrate her return! So I thought I would write a tribute to my awesome roommates! I just wanted to take a minute and talk about how lucky I got with roommates this year. I decided to move out of my apartment this summer two days before school started. I randomly found this condo and signed, not knowing a single person. It was a very scary move but it turned out wonderfully! Although Jan (Janet), Grace, and myself are extremely different we all get along so well. It is really sad because we did not really start hanging out until this semester and time just flew by after that! We have had many adventures together this semester such as road trips and triple dates! It has been a blast, I can't wait for more adventures to come!

Just to clarify...Janets real name is Jan...but because of me everyone knows her as Janet, she is actually starting to respond better to Janet then to Jan!

To My Best Friend!

I was lucky enought to take a middle of the week trip to Centerville this week! I was great, sometimes I forget how much I miss living at home. I cannot wait to move back this summer! Anyway, while I was there I got to spend some time with my adorable nephew Crew! We have had some great times together since he has been born and are now basically best friends. I gave him his first tast of diet coke, frosting and other sugary substances that he probably should not have. Also, I figured out his favorite book up to this point in his life is "Oh the Thinks you can Think" by Dr. Suess. He also thinks it is really funny when I make fun of him for not having any teeth (even though he is starting to get a couple!). But Crews personal favorite is peeing on me every single chance he gets! That is by far his favorite thing to do...I am pretty sure it has happend more to me than anyone else! Anyway, here are some pictures of Crew!

My New York Adventures!

I am so excited to finally have a blog! Although it will probably be really boring to those who look at it, I am really excited to have a journal of all the random and funny things that happen in my life. So I figure I will start off my blog by talking about one of the most exciting things that has ever happened to me. In January I had the opportunity to randomly go to New York for a weekend...It was the best most spontaneous trip ever! And this is how it happened....This summer I decided that I wanted to do somthing I have never done before, so I moved to a new place where I knew nobody. Quickly, I met Kristi who quickly became one of my closest friends. Well as it turns out she has a twin brother who goes to West Point in New York. I honestly don't know when her brother and I started talking but we did sometime in fall semester.
Anyway, I got on on facebook one monday in January and I had a inbox from someone at West Point. I read the inbox and it was from one of Adam's friends asking me to go to West Point that friday to go to a Formal Dinner/Dance thing. I laughed at that for a few reasons 1) his friend was askig me. 2) I do NOT have the money to got to New York. 3) I worked that friday and there was no way I was going to be able to get it off. 4) My parents would ever let me fly across the country to meet a boy I have never met before. So, I just sent back a inbox stating these reasons why I could not go and I just laughted it off. Tuesday I get a call from Adam asking me to go, and he told me that I would not have to pay to go out there, So I assumed that it would be free because his dad is a Pilot. But I still had to work, and it was that friday!! Plus, I would need to find a dress! So, that day I went and basically cried to my boss for her to let me have it off and she gave it to me off. started talking but we did. Then I called my mom...and to my surprise she said "I guess if it was me, I would want to go.."
At this point it was Wednesday morning...It was official I was going to New York in 42 hours I had just gotten my flight comframation in my E-mail...it was not until I got this E-mail that I realized it was definately not free and Adam totally paid for it! Well...I still needed a dress and had no clue where I was going to find one that would work. So me and my roommate went shopping and finally found one but it was wayyy to big. So my rooommate Grace said she could take it in on the sides, and I had no choice but to trust her. Thursday came, and my dress was not done, when I came back from school that day, the sides were let out and my dress was literally cut in half. It was at this point that I started to freak out a little...luckily when I got back from work it was finished. I loved it!!!
The next day was friday. New York here I come! Flying was kind of scary seeing as how I have never done it alone before but I made all of my flights. It was not until I was sitting on the plane that I realized...This weekend could be a disaster, I don't know even know this person. Oh well it was too late to turn back!
I got to New York and oh my gosh! It was one of the best weekends of my life! We got there and went to Little Italy for dinner YUM! and I got to see Times Square at night, It was amazing!! I also got to ride on a subway, and a train up to West Point! I have never been on a subway or a train before! On Saturday we went up to West Point, It was the prettiest school I have ever seen in my life! We got all dressed up (the guys all had to wear uniforms...Yes...Uniforms...) and we went to the dinner. It was so good, and the program was awesome! Plus, their they make the boys treat the girls really nice...that was really exciting. Everything there has such order and tradition to it. It really is amazing.
Sunday came, my flight did not leave until 6:00 P.M, So I had time to see more of the city before I left. We went back to the New York City early that day we saw the statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, and some other awesome sights. Plus, I got to go into the most amazing make up store ever!
The trip came to an end way to fast! Next time I go to New York I hope I will definately get to stay longer. But, this weekend was proabably one of the most fun and exciting weekends I have ever experienced in my life. It was somthing that not many people say they have done. I am so lucky that I got to experience it!
